This was a great article but when I give our couples seminar, I tell them not to make excuses. They are not accountable to anyone but their primary partner and we have found most excuses come back to haunt. So if you are not interested ... say so. No, no thank you, not interested. We are supposed to be adults so how thy handle it is their issue not yours. If you are polite hopefully it will be received in that manner. This is just one girls opinion.
