Dear Friends, Welcome to the world of Kasidie! We are thrilled to launch this inaugural issue of the online magazine, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. A huge amount of time and energy went into producing this for you and we're very proud of it. Please be sure to send us your thoughts, comments, suggestions, advice, rants and raves – we want to hear from you! It is important to understand that the swinging lifestyle is not about sex; it is about sexuality. And while Kasidie Magazine is indeed a publication for swingers, it is also a place for anyone who believes that sexuality is not something to be ashamed of, persecuted for, or inhibited; who believes it is something to be enjoyed, embraced and even celebrated. We strive to make Kasidie both a fun and engaging place for swingers to gather, as well as an instrument for advancing education, combating ignorance and encouraging open-minded thinking. Through information, conversation and, yes, some sexy stimulation, we aspire to have fun as we overturn prejudices and preconceived notions about sexuality and the modern swinging lifestyle. Nearly everything you'll find within every issue of Kasidie Magazine, from the written articles, to the original photography and artwork, was created by real, very talented people within the lifestyle community. Our Unicorns, our Couples of the Month, our playtesters and our Kasidie Girls are all genuine lifestylers. Our existence will undoubtedly offend, frighten, challenge and otherwise threaten the world views of some people. We are not preaching the swinging lifestyle, nor are were aiming to convert those who are not interested. But we hope that anyone who takes the time to put aside their preconceptions and absorb our publication with an open mind might come away with a more tolerant and understanding view of our lifestyle and the community within it. Our Unicorn:
Our first Unicorn of the month and we couldn't be more pleased with her. Not only did GAMERGIRL jump at the chance to be our first Unicorn of the Month, she also volunteered to be one of our playtesters. We had a great time doing the photo shoots with her and are eager to have her back to help test future products. Don't miss seeing the original art pieces that she created for us featured in some of this issue's articles. We'd also like to thank the very talented Mr. HATTRICK for being our unicorn photographer. Our Couple:
When our publisher approached Joe and Michelle (MARINA) at Desire Resort in Cancun and asked them to be our first Couple of the Month, they agreed without hesitation. Since I was stuck in the office that week, I only got to meet them over the phone. But after speaking to them and viewing their photos, I can attest that they are beautiful people both inside and out. Our thanks to Bryan Adams (LIFESCAPE) from LifescapePhoto.com, for putting his Mexican vacation on hold and shooting our couple.

The Interview:
This month's interview with Bob Hannaford (TESSNBOB) of French Connection Events has earned my award for the article that was both the most fun and the most difficult to edit. Bob is one of those people who can keep you entertained for hours when he speaks. Finding anything worthy of cutting out of the interview was nearly impossible.

The Articles:
This being our first issue, I'll admit that I was more than a little nervous about tracking down enough writers to produce the content we required. I was not only relieved but also extremely proud of the talented people who rose to the challenge and authored the incredible articles that fill our first issue.

I was particularly surprised while searching for an author to write our main article, "A Very Hard... Question of Faith". I knew that I wanted to hear the viewpoint of a practicing Christian in the swinging lifestyle so I put a request in several forums looking for someone willing to share their story... I was overwhelmed with the enormous response I got. It's amazing how many Christian swingers there are out there! I'd like to thank David Alexander of SCARLETNOHAIRA for providing us with the article that we used. I'd also like to thank all of the Christians lifestylers who responded. We will be revisiting the discussion of theology and sexuality in future issues and I look forward to publishing some of the other stories I received.
