Dear Editor,
What's it like working at Kasidie Magazine? My husband and I were imagining that it must be a non-stop party over at the Kasidie offices. How on earth do you find the time to put together a magazine?

Sincerely, Amanda
Dear Amanda,
With the tremendous amount of work that goes into each issue of Kasidie Magazine, a better question would be: How on earth do you find time to party?
Don't get me wrong, this job is definitely fun... Heck I deal with swingers and sexuality all day, how could that not be fun? But it's the kind of fun that requires long hours of sitting infront of a computer emailing dozens of writers, photographers, couples and unicorns, reading hundreds of submissions, editing dozens of articles, meeting monthly deadlines, and drinking several gallons of Red Bull. So if that's your idea of a party... then yes, it's a non-stop party.
And I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Thanks for Reading!
Sincerely,
The Editor

Notes on Creating This Issue

The Cover:
This month's Halloween themed cover was taken by our good friend Mike of Flirty & Fun Photograpy in Texas. You can see more of his photography all over this month and past month's issues. If the girls on the cover look familiar, it because they are Sasha (our September 2008 Unicorn of the Month) and Melissa (from our May 2008 Couple of the Month).
The Interview:
I think this is our most important interview we've ever done. If you've never heard of Susan Write or the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, then you really ought to read this interview... they just may be your best friends one day. Read the NCSF interview here.
Couple of the Month:
The photoshoot of our October Couple of the Month: Jamie & Terry from Houston, was a lot of fun. They really got into the spirit of Halloween for their shoot.
Our Unicorn of the Month:
Our September Unicorn, Traci, was also photographed by Flirty & Fun Photography (Wow, he's working hard for us!!!).
Our Kasidie Labs Playtest:
If you like the girls on this month's cover, then you'll LOVE this month's playtest. Sasha and Melissa try out the Sexercise Ball.
The Feature Articles:
This month is full of Halloween treats! Our October issue is all about secret identities and fetishes.
Our main feature article: Heroes and Hedonists, is written by two law enforcement officers who are swingers in their free time.
We've got some really fun articles this month like Top 10 Swinger Halloween Costumes, Swingenuity is back with a DIY guide to Building your own BDSM Spreader Bar, and we've also discovered some of the Weirdest Fetishes on the Web.
I'd also like to thank Zelda Brite for induging my personal fetish and writing a facinating article about the kink behind Wonder Woman.
Also, be sure to check out our Ask Kasidie and Ask A. Vanilla advice columns, full of useful and useless information respectively.
Want to write for Kasidie Magazine?
I'm always on the lookout for talented people who would like to contribute to Kasidie Magazine. So if you have an idea for an article or a unique perspective on sexuality or the lifestyle that deserves to be shared, contact me via our submissions page.
Are you a lifestyle photographer?
With Unicorns and Couples of the Month to shoot all around the country, we are constantly searching for lifestyle photographers. This is a great way for you to publicize your work and yourself among the worldwide lifestyle community. Send us a sample of your work or a link to your website via our submissions page.
