“The Social Community For Couples”!

Since launching the very first issue of Kasidie in January of 2008, we have received emails from swingers all over the country telling us the same thing: “We love Kasidie Magazine, but we wish that we could also use the site to make new friends and connect with the swinger community.” As the months passed, our readership grew rapidly, and these requests for an interactive Kasidie community became more frequent and more numerous.

We not only listened... we acted... and we exceeded.

The team at Kasidie is excited to announce the launch of the industry's first true “Web 2.0” social community for swinging couples and select singles. Starting with nothing but a blank sheet of paper, we asked ourselves, our friends, our magazine's readers, club owners, event hosts, industry professionals, and lifestylers across the globe: "What would you want in your ideal online community?" We heard hundreds of discussion points, from which we created a project roadmap.

The result was well over 1,000 pages of documentation and notes. Kasidie's new "Web 2.0" has taken more than 6 man-years (meaning over 12,000 hours) of design and programming at a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Just what is Kasidie 2.0?
Is it different than a regular dating site? Yes! Think Facebook meets Match.com, but designed specifically for swingers. With the new Kasidie 2.0, the connections with friends, the social tools, and the feel of the site are all designed to create an environment that is geared towards easily making and maintaining relationships with people. But it's even more than that! At its very core Kasidie 2.0 is an advanced technology platform with the inherent flexibility to accomplish things that are only limited by your imagination... stay tuned for amazing features that we will be launching continuously over the coming months.

A few facts about building the new Kasidie 2.0...
Design and programming were done 100% by our direct employees. No "outsourcing" to third parties was done on any component.

All applications, from email to profiles and everything in between, were coded 100% from scratch by our engineers. We did not use any third-party software. We own – and thus control – the code.

Everything is run on our own Linux servers in a professional, secure datacenter. We do not lease servers or place any applications or data on any shared "hosting" service. It costs us more (a lot more), but we believe it's worth it.

This is important because it means that we aren't letting random people or entities access the data. And it means that if something goes wrong with the site or any of its applications, we have all the sourcecode and can fix it quickly.

Kasidie 2.0 is Currently in "Beta"
"Beta" means we're new and we are still fixing bugs and adding new applications. Everything will be completed in the coming months, but in the meantime we ask that you please let us know whenever you come across something that makes you think, "Oops, that wasn't right" – send an email to Admin, include the exact sequence of events that lead to the "Oops", so our engineers can replicate the problem and fix it.

But the good news is, that this is probably the best time for you to join and set up a profile!

With the launch of the new Kasidie 2.0 community come many exciting new changes and improvements to the magazine. As a voice for the swinger lifestyle, we think it's important for Kasidie Magazine to remain free and accesible to both members and non-members alike. However, we will be adding certain features to it which only members will be able to take advantage of.
