At the same time Suzanna had just moved back to Colorado and had started searching not only for a job in architecture, but also a man. Yahoo Personals gained another customer. After browsing through a lot of duds, Suzanna ran across Aaron's profile. He reminded her of the dark, sexy Italian men she had recently left behind. She decided to make first contact and send him an email, asking him out on a date. It was forward of her, but perhaps she was still feeling like a hot blooded Italian woman.
Their first date was at a local coffee shop and Aaron was struck by that beautiful smile that no one can ignore. It wasn't long before Aaron was on the phone inviting her over for dinner. He pulled out all the stops and made her his signature dish: stir fry. At the time, however, Aaron was not the connoisseur of vegetables he is today and the dish was a bit lacking. Still, he must have done something right because she stayed to watch a movie. Neither of them remembers who it was that rented the movie, but somehow they ended up with "The Notebook." If you have seen the movie you know this is bit heavy for a first date, and by the end they were both a mess, with tears and tissues everywhere. By the end of the night Aaron and Suzanna were hooked on each other. Aaron was inviting her over every other day for this reason or that. Suzanna, on the other hand, was wondering why he had not tried to kiss her yet. She started seeking advice from her friends and parents, asking, "Does he think of me just a friend?" The truth was Aaron was just too nervous to make his move. It was probably three weeks (Suzanna says four) before he finally did. If he had known how close she was to saying "forget this!" he would have been a bit quicker. He knew that she was something special and he wanted to make sure he treated her that way. Lucky for him his "plan" worked and they soon fell head over heels for each other.
A year or so into their magical love affair, a pilot friend of Aaron's invited them to a party. The friend failed to mention that it was a "lifestyle party." (In retrospect, Aaron should have known because according to him, "All pilots are horn dogs"). The party theme was "god and goddess," so Aaron and Suzanna dressed in appropriate toga type gear. However, at a pre-party at their friend's house, they were informed that their togas contained far too much material. A pair of scissors put a quick end to the extra fabric. Aaron and Suzanna were suddenly showing far more skin than they'd ever shown at a party before.
Upon arriving at the party it became quickly apparent that their group had the youngest people there by at least 25 years, but this did not stop them from having fun. It was held at a dance club that taught strip dancing by day, so there were a couple of stripper poles in the middle of the main room. Right away, Aaron and Suzanna understood why their togas needed to be shortened; the other attendants at the party were wearing sexy clothes and lingerie. After the initial "wow" it did not take long to get into the groove. Both Aaron and Suzanna began to socialize and soon realized that these were just normal people being a little more sexual than you might find at your local bar. Everyone was nice and no one was trying to molest them. Soon they were both trying their skills on the stripper pole. This was something that they both found to be harder than expected. Aaron still claims to have the evidence of this in the form of "pole burns." They enjoyed talking to these open-minded people and made some great friends. The entire experience got them thinking, "What if we went to a party like this with people our own age?"
No strangers to internet dating, Aaron and Suzanna signed up on a lifestyle website and began to explore. After signing up, they read some profiles, and tweaked their own, not sure what to show of themselves or what not to show. They were both surprised at the warm welcome emails they were soon getting from other people in the lifestyle. It was not long before they were responding and contacting people on their own. Suzanna was surprised at how much she enjoyed the attention she was getting from others, and the slight ego boost that came with it.
The first lifestyle event they went to (on purpose) was a pajama party at a loft near their house. On the night of the party they were both pretty nervous. They had no friends to fall back on this time and they were not going to know anyone there. They were greeted at the door by the slender and sexy host of the party, who was dressed in a wonderfully flattering corset and stockings. Her warm smile and helpful tour of the loft helped put them both at ease. Some mingling soon led to some great conversation and some good laughs. Soon they both forgot why they were nervous in the first place. As the party wore on, the conversation moved to a bedroom upstairs which overlooked the lower level. Aaron and Suzanna watched as some of the couples enjoyed each other, and soon they found their own bed to lie on. The sights and sounds around them were more intoxicating than the alcohol. Soon they found themselves lost in a sensual cloud of exhilaration and excitement. While they did not play with others that night, the memory of that first experience still makes them tingle to this day and many of the new friends they made that night are still some of their best friends today. They still get nervous before they go out to a lifestyle function but it is nervousness in a good way, a very excited way. They are still somewhat new to the lifestyle but have a long list of things they still want to try... hence their screen name: EagerButBashful. Although, if you've ever met Aaron and Suzanna, it's easy to see that they're becoming more eager and less bashful every day.
The thing that has surprised them both the most from their experience in the lifestyle is not all the wild sex, but the way it has changed their relationship for the better. The doors of communication, honesty, and trust it opened was a pleasant shock to both of them. They learned, and are still learning, that they can talk to each other about anything without the fear of being judged. They both know that each of them is there to fully support and respect the other in a way that neither of them had ever felt in a relationship before. It has brought them closer and has enabled them to share their lives and hearts with one another in a way they never expected.
Aaron and Suzanna are currently engaged to be married in the fall of 2009. Aaron is working on gaining hours as a flight instructor so that he can move onto bigger and better planes, while Suzanna is working to become a licensed architect. They both would like to have children some day but both still feel a bit too much like children themselves to have that day be anytime soon.
