Andrea & Craig are Kasidie's... Couple of the Month
Craig was born in Stockton, California to parents who remind everyone of The Cleavers. At age seven, he and his sister ran across some porn magazines in a paper bag on the street, which were quickly cut up into the best body parts, and stored in a box in his closet labeled "Private. Keep Out". His mother was the first to open the box and have a chat with Craig about how wrong he really was. In seventh grade, Craig kept a suitcase under his bed full of porn, just for sleepovers. It wasn't until Craig's grandmother stayed with his family that the magazines were found neatly stacked next to a pile of clean clothes on his bed. He had been found out again, however nothing was ever mentioned. It was obvious from an early age that Craig was a pervert and loved visual stimulation: he wasn't going to give it up.
Andrea grew up in Orange County in a family which was so dysfunctional they could have starred in their own T.V. show. Her mother's greatest achievement would be to raise a beautiful daughter who resembled Brooke Shields, so she had Andrea on stage as early as she could remember. It wasn't until High School when she was staring at the other cheerleaders as they got undressed, did Andrea begin to understand she was bi-sexual, especially when she received a disapproving look from a close friend. ÊLooking back, Andrea realized she had a crush on every girlfriend she ever had. The typical Catholic School girl, she assumed she would be a virgin until she married. It wasn't until Andrea's went to college where she began to think and behave differently. Away from the watchful eye of her mother, Andrea felt the freedom to become the opportunist which came so naturally to her.
Craig had his first three-some in high school when his best friend's girlfriend mentioned that she was also interested in Craig. Despite all this, Craig saved his virginity for college, and ended up marrying his first serious girlfriend, buying a house and saving for his retirement, never realizing that he had options available to him, especially sexually.
Andrea was 23 when late one Saturday night her roommate asked her kindly to let the upstairs neighbors know their music was too loud. She knocked on the door to find her neighbor, high as a kite with a smile to match, inviting her to join them. What she found were two beautiful naked women sitting on the floor smoking a hookah. Before she knew it, she has a glass of water in one hand, a pill in the other, and her lips on the best looking of the two girls. She loved it. Even more so when she found out her new girlfriend had a husband whom they could come home to. What evolved was a six-month relationship with a married couple and the only thing that stopped Andrea from seeing them longer was becoming pregnant by another lover.

Andrea and Craig met at a seedy strip club in North Beach called Centerfolds, one of several clubs in that part of San Francisco. Andrea was working the floor with the stage name "Vixen". She had been there long enough to know when a good looking man came through the door, he was a real find, but not long enough to know that spending her night with him would help her heart more than her pocketbook.
Craig's smile from across the room was saved for her. Her initial reaction was that the openness in his eyes was reserved for someone he knew standing behind her, and that he came in here all the time, for the regular girls, but when she turned around to double check, she realized she was alone.
Her heart beat faster. She walked closer. His smile grew brighter, warmer even, until she stood in front of him, wanting him, but so afraid of letting him know. Their love was that instant and deep. It seemed like the set of a movie, slow motion even. Craig kept answering her questions with, "I came here to meet you." She just couldn't believe him.
The evening could have lasted forever, but instead lasted as long as they needed to believe they were not going to end here and now. This was just the beginning of something: something that would forever change their lives and help them discover what had grown quiet inside of them: desire.
Craig courted Andrea for several weeks, showing up at the school where she taught third grade by day, asking her to go to ice cream or coffee, anything to just be with her; to spend another minute with her. Craig could not be satisfied by the immediate. He had to know there was more: more to learn and discover. Andrea needed to know that she was his catalyst and nothing would ever be the same without her in his life.
Craig would come in the middle of the night to stay with Andrea just to convince her of this truth. He would stop on his way home from studying for his MBA at Berkeley and climb in her window, leave a bouquet strewn on the windshield of her car at 2:00 in the morning, or bring groceries and cook dinner for her. They would e-mail and call each other at all times of the day. It became unimportant that their relationship was frowned upon, even laughed at. They couldn't be stopped and they refused to hide.
Craig was married and Andrea was the mother of a two year old daughter with no previous husband. They fit for a Dr. Phil episode, an example of what not to do. Craig had married the "perfect girl" straight out of college because it was the next step in their relationship, and because it was the right thing to do, not because he could not live without her love. ÊAndrea had been single for 6 years, mourning the first love of her life, and leaving victims of love affairs like casualties of a bank heist gone wrong, until getting pregnant stopped her dead in her tracks, repenting even. For some reason they knew if they could make it through Craig's divorce, the rest would make sense somehow, so they took turns holding the lantern for each other, and steadily plugged on: shakily confident, but strong in their love for each other.
