As the editor of Kasidie magazine, I usually leave the product reviews to other people. But when it came to reviewing our latest playtest, The Game, I insisted on writing it myself. The Game was responsible for one of the most unexpected evenings I've had in a long time...

It was a Saturday evening about two months ago and I had just signed the lease on my new apartment in downtown Denver. Besides a few pieces of random rental furniture that were to be picked up on monday by the rental staging company, the apartment was completly bare. My own furniture was not set to arrive till the end of next week. I'd spent the enitre day cleaning and was about to fall asleep on a simple mattress pad that I'd lay on the floor, when I got a phone call from one of my Unicorn friends. She was looking for a date to Sugar House, our local swinger's nightclub. Never one to turn down a Unicorn in need, I hopped in the shower and threw on some clean clothes. She came over to my new place and we headed out to the club.

5 Point Card: Player must remove their shirt. All players of the opposite sex will kiss them all over. If the player can refrain from laughing, they are awarded the points.

10 Point Card: Player must remove all their clothing and perform an acrobatic feat in the nude.

10 point card: You are at the dentist and have been put under anesthesia. Choose 2 players to play the parts of the dentist and dental assistant who deicide to take advantage of you while you're unconscious. You may not open your eyes or move.

5 point card: Take a shot from the inner thigh of another player of your choice.

10 point card: Player must remove their shirt and wear a blindfold. Two members of the opposite sex will silently kiss and fondle them above the waist for 2 minutes. When the time is up, the player must correctly guess the two players who enjoyed them.

10 Point Card: Player must taste every opposite sex player's genitals for one minute. If the player is female, she may also choose to taste the female players too.

5 Point Card: Remove someone else's shirt and give them a sexy lapdance for 2 minutes.

10 Point Card: Female player removes her panties and selects a vibrator. With the vibrator inserted, all the males in the room fondle and caress her until she comes to orgasm.

As was the usual on a Saturday night, Sugar House was filled with a variety of sexy swinger couples and select swingles, laughing, dancing, drinking and flirting. A couple I had met once or twice before approached me. They told me they had a fantastic product that Kasidie Labs should playtest. Out of their bag they produced a sleek black box. Emblazoned across the top in bold silver letters were two words: The Game.

I'd never really considered playtesting a game for Kasidie Labs. I've played a few "naughty" board games in the past and always found them to be rather cheap, sexually watered down and silly. But as they had just bought me a drink, and the wife was really cute, I reserved my judgment as they opened the box to show me the contents.

The first thing I noticed was the durable high quality of The Game box itself. Upon opening the cover, I almost expected to see an expensive set of silver laying across a velvet interior (but that wouldn't have made for much fun). Instead the box contained a pair of dice, a one minute sand timer, four stacks of cards, each in individual jewel box cases and instructions.

The stacks of cards were marked 1, 5, 10, & M (a.k.a. "Mega"). The couple explained that the The Game was essentially a combination of Truth or Dare, Spin the Bottle, Strip Poker and an orgy. On each of the cards were tasks that the players were required to perform to themselves or others, for which they would receive either 1, 5, 10 or 20 points (the M cards), depending on which stack they chose from.

As I reached for a 5 point card, the couple stopped me and said, "Oh no, you should just pick a 1. Some of the dares on the 5 point cards will probably get us thrown out of Sugar House."

"Seriously?" I exclaimed, "If the 5 point cards would get us thrown out of a swingers nightclub, I'm REALLY curious to see what is on the 10 and 20 point cards!" So we stuck to the 1 point cards, which were fairly tame in nature... for swingers at least.

Even though we were restricted to the 1 point cards, we must have been been having fun because by the time the bartender did last call, our group of four had tripled as more and more couples joined us throughout the night, most of which had never met. "Boy," said a dark and lovely brunette, "I'm really itching to try one of those other stacks of cards!" The rest of the group nodded in agreement.

Always the instigator, my Unicorn friend threw her arms around me and announced, "He just got a new place only five minutes from here!"

But the group didn't care about my objections. They were all focused on finishing The Game.

So a caravan of sexy strangers followed us back to my unfurnished apartment. We sat on the rental furniture or on the floor. We drank water and soda from paper cups that one of my guests bought from a 7-Eleven down the street.

The first 5 point card was drawn. It read: "The first couple to be completely naked is awarded the points." There was a sudden flurry of clothing, and 10 seconds later there were twelve naked swingers standing in my living room. Most of us put our clothes back on after that round, but they rarely stayed on, seeing as how many of the cards involved undressing yourself or others. If someone were really playing the The Game for the points, I'd recommend not wearing anything with too many straps, buttons or laces... but it was pretty clear to me that The Game was not really about who had the most points.

It was less than one round before one of the girls in the group said, "I'm done with 5 point cards. I'm going for 10." She snatched up one of the 10 point cards and her eyes widened as she read it. "Apply something tasty to the genitals of another player and select someone to lick it off." Since the cupboard in my new apartment was bare, we had to improvise. Luckily someone had some tropical flavored lip balm. She removed the panties of one of the other girls and applied the lip balm to her clit and pussy lips. "Now I need to select a player to lick it off." she said, "And I select... myself!" and buried her face into the other girl's crotch. You've got to admit it was quite an ingenious strategy on her part. She was the Garry Kasparov of sex games.

The 10 point cards didn't last very long as people were getting more aroused and comfortable with each as each dare was completed. The first 20 point M cards made it's appearance. "Choose a tasty sauce and apply it generously to all men's cocks. The women must race to lick off a non-partner's member until completely clean. First woman to finish the task wins the points."

I'm not sure who won that task... and frankly it didn't matter! That was the both first and last M card to be picked. In fact we never resumed playing another round, because we were all too busy "playing."

That night the foam mattress pad on the floor of my bedroom ended up being used for much more than I had originally intended.

And that's the true story of how a dozen sexy people, most of which had never met each other before, ended up having an orgy on my very first night in my new unfurnished apartment. So who won The Game that night? We all did!

When I was signing the lease earlier that day, this was last way I would have ever expected my evening to end. Needless to say, I now own my very own copy of The Game.

Summary: As far and adult party games go, The Game is the best that I've seen. I was really amazed by how well it got a group of strangers to interact and unwind to the point that they were acting like old friends (with benefits). Just to make sure that the great vibes that night weren't a once in a lifetime fluke, we decided to invite a totally new group of couples over to my place (now with furniture) and shoot an official Kasidie Labs Playtest.
