After a chance meeting in a New Orleans nightclub, Joe asked Michelle to a Chris Isaak concert. It must have been a good concert, because the two have been together ever since.

Michelle's job often took her to the other side of the country for extended periods of time. Though separated by miles, the couple kept things interesting and fueled their passions by writing original erotic stories to each other. On one such occasion Michelle received a story whose plot seemed most uncharacteristic of it's author.

Joe's steamy story involved them meeting another couple while on a camping trip... and doing much more than just camping. Since Joe had always considered himself to be a jealous and insecure man, the ideas that poured from his pen took him by surprise as much as they did Michelle. Nevertheless, the seeds were planted; the two began to openly discuss their fantasies. The two decided to brave a trip to Paradise Lake Nudist Resort in Tampa; they were the only people on the beach with their bathing suits still on. A sporty couple approached them and asked if they "played." Joe said, "No", assuming they meant volleyball. It wasn't until the couple left that they figured out what they really meant. Their accidental encounter with swingers got them talking about the idea.

They talked about it every day for over a year until they mustered up the courage to attend one of the monthly French Connection Events held in New Orleans. They drove around the block for over an hour... Then went home.

They tried again the following month. While they actually parked this time, it still took them an hour to leave the safety of their car. Michelle's biggest fear about entering the party was that they would see someone they knew. Joe thought the chance of them knowing anyone else who was interested in something like this was impossible.
