We've always heard our lifestyle girlfriends rave about the Hitachi Wand but never had the balls to spend $60 on a vibrator (though the Hitachi Wand has come down in price lately). But since the Hitachi Wand is a plug-in vibrator, we figure it will save you a lot of money on batteries in the long run.

Then, we recently heard about a new plug-in vibrator to hit the scene called the Wahl Massager. We even heard a few girls claim to prefer the Wahl Massager, over the Hitachi Wand. So, while enjoying a week at Hedonism III in Jamaica, two of our Kasidie Labs Playtesters put both the Hitachi Wand and the Wahl Massager to the test. We assure you, it was all very scientific.

THE HITACHI WAND

Playtester #1: The Hitachi Wand has a smaller head than the Wahl Massager, which can be a big benefit. Despite what you may think, girls don't always want something big and bulky between their legs. That's one of the reasons I've been so loyal to my battery-operated silver bullet. The vibration power on the Hitachi is really powerful. Some sensitive girls might find it a little too stimulating, especially if they haven't been properly warmed up. Both of us girls found that we needed to get warmed up in other ways before we could get the Hitachi anywhere near our clits. The Hitachi is a bit more ergonomical than the Wahl, but for girls that can cum quickly that probably wouldn't be an issue. Overall, it did its job, and my loyalty no longer lies solely on my battery vibe. Another bonus of both vibrators being plug-ins – There's no worry of picking up my luggage at the baggage claim to find that my bag is vibrating! We've all been there, eh?

Playtester #2: I liked the Hitachi Wand a lot. It had a strong vibration that took a little getting used to at first. It did make me cum fairly quickly which isn't always easy for me. I also dug the size and shape of the Hitachi Wand a little more than the Wahl Massager. It made it easier to use on myself when I wanted to lay on my tummy. One other nice feature is that the head of the Hitachi Wand has some give to it, so it was a little easier to handle.

THE WAHL MASSAGER

Playtester #1: I am glad I discovered this product, because I had never heard of it before. The best thing about the Wahl Massager: It has a heated head! This comes in real handy when its 12 degrees outside. I hate being cold, and its sometimes hard to get me out of my clothes when we want to get our freak on. Well that won't be a problem anymore! The head of the Wahl Massager is disk shaped, which is much different than the egg shaped vibes I'm used to. But it still worked for me, even though I had to keep my legs spread a little wider than normal. The vibration of the Wahl is a deep and powerful throbbing and can get quite intense. The Wahl is slightly cheaper than the Hitachi Wand, which is another plus. Overall, it is a good solid vibe that I will keep close to the bed at all times. Especially on cold nights!

Playtester #2: The heating element of the Wahl Massager is excellent. However, if you leave it on high heat for awhile it can get much too hot to the touch. I don't recommend putting the heat above the lowest setting. I hope they fix this feature in future versions; no one needs a burned cootchie! The throb of the vibration was different than any product I've used and I did enjoy it. I wish the head on the Wahl was a bit smaller. When I cum I tend to close my legs together and you can't really do that with this product.

Our Verdict:
They both had big positives... and some negatives. Our suggestion: Get them both! They both beat any other vibrator that we've tried and its always a good idea to have more than one good vibrator on hand for when you have one or more hot girlfriends over to your house. Another thing to note, both the Hitachi Wand and Wahl Massager have optional "insertable" attachments that you can buy separately if you'd like.
