Spice has a great deal of potential. We absolutely loved the hot tub, it was a great place to be at night. The resort was around 50% occupancy when we were there during a weekend. Many couples from the UK and the Netherlands, we were the only Americans. The rooms are nice, but you aren't there for the rooms.
The entertainment staff was a lot of fun, on an off night, James even took us to some bars in town. As an EC he is awesome. The bartender in the evenings was great, he made some pretty tasty custom drinks.
Areas for improvement would be the food. The mojo sauce (a Canary Island specialty) was amazing but the rest of the food left a lot to be desired. We chose to eat out the rest of the trip.
Bottom line - we would give Spice another try. They have done a great job and if they improve some areas, they will have a winner.
