Models – Our Unicorn, our Couple of the Month and our Play Testers are all real people in the Lifestyle. Coordinating schedules is always a challenge.

Photographer – This month's Playtests and Unicorn were shot by David at Hattrick Photography. Incredibly talented, great with people, and with one of the best eyes around for shooting erotic and artistic photos... we are excited to have him on our team.

Location – We shot the January issue at the Kasidie Mansion, which provided the perfect setting for this month's themes.

The models arrived a little before noon, flirted with one another while doing their make-up, and sampled the salmon sandwiches, hummus with pita chips and veggie platters. Champagne and Bellini's flowed freely as the photographer set up an impressive assortment of lights, ladders, cameras, lenses, reflectors and other gear. Our publisher and editor fretted about, making sure everything and everyone was ready to go.

For the next 10 hours we shot over 1,000 photos in countless poses.

Was it fun? Of course! Just look at the pictures, and imagine all the girls giggling, kissing and chanting their mantra "we're not stopping until every girl has an orgasm!" (yes, really).

Was it work? More than you can imagine! Directing the action, girls holding pose after lengthy pose, continuous take downs and set-ups of camera equipment, endless reapplications of makeup, setting up the play areas, cleaning the kitchen, moving furniture, etc, etc.

The most impressive feat of the shoot was that the boys behind the scenes somehow managed to keep working despite watching four naked girls play with each other for 10 hours. During a particularly steamy moment shooting the girls playing on the love swing, our editor finally snapped and exclaimed: "Am I seriously the only guy in the room who's struggling not to leap out of his pants right now!?"

Each month, out of thousands of photographs taken we have to choose: seventy-five pictures for the models, ten play test pics for each product, fifteen Unicorn of the Month photos, seven Couple of the Month photos, and one magazine cover

These photos then needed to be professionally enhanced to bring out the best features of each model and each setting.

As you'd expect, we love our jobs! It's not simply that these shoots are fun (they are) or that we like sex (we do) or even that we enjoy the company of the models and professionals who are part of the magazine (the best thing, really). Our greatest satisfaction comes from seeing how our efforts and energy come together to show you why swingers enjoy such a fantastic lifestyle – one that you really can be a part of!
