Castles have a mystery about them that fascinates people and draws them to see the grandeur of times gone by, maybe feeling the vibrations of evil deeds but also of the erotic passions that unfolded in the secrecy of the high walls. Something that we are well known for throughout Europe and even further afield. (Waterloo Castle) is situated in beautifully tranquil grounds of some 35.000 sq.m. in area. It was built in 1922 by an architect from Roermond, Casper Franssen. That Caspar had, as mentor, the famous Master Architect Prof. Pierre Cuypers, who designed the Rijksmuseum near the Central Station in Amsterdam is easy to see. The similarity is striking and reflects the French influence of those years. The Castle was completely renovated in 1997 and brought back to it's original regal state both inside an out.
